I left the Bethlehem Antique Show this morning with two big scores. First, this 1960s Batman and Robin lunchbox, with Thermos. I’ve been looking for one for years. You can find them on eBay pretty easily, but at double the price I paid.
And second, this one-of-a-kind 1930s sign painter toolbox, tricked out by somebody with a sense of humor about the job:
Finally getting this original Jerry Brown print of Kurt Cobain custom framed. (Kurt’s dressed as Barney the Dinosaur onstage because it was a Halloween 1993 concert.) This photo was taken one week after I saw Nirvana live at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.
This plantain on our kitchen counter caught my eye, so I grabbed a paper towel and marker.
